Continuing on our quest of church browsing we stopped in to this church which is also known as New Horizon Pentecostal Church of God. We went at the 5pm Sunday service.

When we arrived the parking lot was very dark, and only a few vehicles were present. The church also appeared vacant. We walked up to the doors and they were unlocked and we walked inside. We were greeted by the usher and then by an older woman. Then the pastor and his wife came up to say hello and welcome us.

The service contained no more than a dozen people, but the congregation is not focused on numbers but rather what the Lord has planned for them. The seating consists of traditional wooden pews, which was a nice touch since most churches have modernized to comfy chairs now.

Service began with prayer and then the sharing of testimonies (which is meant to be more like a praise report) Songs were then sung, You need to know the song in order to sing it, as no lyrics are provided. At the service we attended the piano was the only instrument used. Then offering was taken followed by the message. The message was not done by the pastor but one of the members in the church (possibly a youth pastor?) He seemed a bit nervous but what he shared revealed his heart.

Afterwards, the few that attended came up to greet us and then we walked back out into the even darker parking lot. If I could change a few things about the church, it would be to make it more inviting.

The few people that me met were kind and i wish them all the best and all of the Lords blessings.
