  The last few Sundays a friend and I have been going to different services around Salem. After scoping out some nearby churches via Mapquest and visiting the websites and social networks connected with each, Fruitland Community Church became the first choice to try out. The church is simple to find, its on the corner of two main streets, Fruitland and 63rd St. There seems to be adequate parking for the number of people attending, which is nice.
  
  Upon entering we walked up a flight of stairs and instantly we were greeted by the greeters and many others in the congregation. Already we were feeling welcomed and accepted, there was no inner sense of feeling awkward.
  
  We entered the sanctuary and it seemed very inviting. We were a few minutes late, and the beginning had already begun so we took a seat. We got to witness the introduction to a new member of the congregation, learned of updates going on throughout the week, prayer was also a top aspect as well as reading of the scripture. The music was uplifting and a great way to worship together. Also the message spoke to us was very interactive and encouraging, it was far from being boring.
  
  Afterwards there was a potluck/business meeting. We weren't sure if we were going to attend since we weren't aware of it before hand. But after so many invites from so many sweet people, we couldn't resist and enjoyed a delicious buffet a food, as well as a good chat with the pastor and his wife and a few others.
  
  If your'e looking for a smaller but heart filled congregation that loves the Lord, you will certainly be treated like family here. Its definitely worth visiting.

  If you're looking for a nice comfortable God that fits your lifestyle and your schedule, this might not be the best fit.
  If you want to see and hear a man on fire for God and learn what life can be like when you go all in for Him, run, don't walk to FCC.

  I have attended many churches. This one has been by far the best. Great people and great preaching
